The Food Technology Laboratory was established and developed in order to serve practical activities, research and analysis services for raw materials and products, as well as for the development of new products to improve the quality of graduates through improving the quality of the teaching and learning process.
In 2025 it will become a leading Laboratory in the fields of Education, Research and Community Service to develop science and technology in the field of high quality food based on local resources.
Provide high quality service facilities in the fields of Education, Research and Community Service to support the development of science and technology in the field of food based on local resources.
The values upheld in the Food Technology Laboratory, FPP UMM are SIAPT (Siddiq, Amanah, Professional and Trusted).
The Food Technology Laboratory consists of (i) Food Microbiology Laboratory, (ii) Food Chemistry and Analysis Laboratory, (iii) Food Engineering Laboratory, (iv) Quality Testing Laboratory and (v) Food Product Sensory Testing Laboratory. The description of the functions and benefits as well as the equipment used from each Food Technology Laboratory are as follows:
1. Microbiology Laboratory
Food Microbiology Laboratory of Food Technology, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) is a laboratory that is functioned for activities closely related to microbiology. It is located on the 1st floor of the Gedung Kuliah Bersama 1 (GKB 1) and is still in the same location as the Lab. Food Analysis.
